Rainbow Row. |
We were charmed by all the old, old buildings. Many of them are reportedly from the Revolutionary War period. I wondered how much of them are original. |
Charleston was shelled during the Civil War....but not burned. In 1887 there was horrific earthquake. |
We walked alot and loved the cobblestone, tiny walkways with tons of plants and lovely courtyards with babbling fountains. |
After visiting Charleston....I don't care a thing about New Orleans anymore...smiles. I could live here. |
This is across from the museum. Cars and power lines ruin my photos. |
We like the many weather vanes. There was one with a dolphin on the waterfront. |
Lots & lots & lots of churches....almost all of them have really high, spindle-y spires. |
Our last meal in town was here...lunch at Husk. ALL the meals we ate were super except for one. |
