11 DAYS OF RANDOM CHRISTMAS PHOTOS.

Bennie helps to change the sheets...not!

Langtry, Texas I like this sign.

Langtry Cemetery. There are no signs to this place...you have to ask somebody.

Most of the headstones have no dates and only a few have names.

These pictures are typical of a west Texas country cemetery. We saw one grave that had a date of 2005, so it is still used.

I think it's a beautiful.  I like old cemeteries.

Gene and I went to San Antonio. This is my brother Brook's cat....Calli.

Our tree in Del Rio.

Del Rio centerpiece...I had fun making this.

Teachers not teaching...watching football. George (from Pecos), Rene teaches at Del Rio H.S. and an old Biology teacher.

George's dog Comet is a sweetheart!

Christmas Eve dinner. Gene, Jamey, Bruce (from San Antonio) and Rene.

Gene and I got to stay at the Drury Inn Hotel on the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio. It is in the old Alamo Nat'l. Bank. We were on the 21st floor-GREAT view!

Mi Tierra Restaurant has a ton of beautiful decorations. San Antonio. Good live salsa band.

Proudly waving flags...downtown San Antonio.

Aztec Theater neon. San Antonio.

PATTY DOES DEL RIO, Lake Amistad & LANGTRY.

Pecos River.

Pecos River.

Pecos River.

This is an old motel on the railroad tracks in a ghost town that's called Shumla. It sorta creeped us out. There were big animal bones in one of the "rooms".

In the 1930's Shumla had a couple of hundred residents. They all dried up and blew away in the 1950's.

Eagle Nest Creek.

Patty callin' Judge Roy Bean.

Patty patiently waitin' for the Judge.

Patty signaling the Judge.

Prickly Pear Cactus turns purple in the winter.

An old adobe in Langtry. A couple of dozen folks live in Langtry and it has some nice houses...somehow I always photograph the derelicts.

I wonder who lived in these places and when and what they did.

We enjoyed Patty's visit very much. We have been so lucky thus far with friends and family coming to see us here in Del Rio. EVERYBODY COME!! We ate steak one night and Mexican food the next night. Patty and I walked in the park near our house. We watched movies both nights. I gave her "the drivin' tour" one afternoon..the historic district, Main St. and winery etc. Thanks for coming PattyAttyWatty!!!
