SAN MARCOS, TX MARCH 2013.

Mary owns Out of the Blue hair salon in San Marcos. She is Jamey's friend and knows how I like my hair done. Love her new blue disco ball.

Well, THIS is an unattractive photo...WHY didn't we just take a picture of the finished product?

We stayed at Dan & Bobbie Guerra's in Kyle on Friday night. Dan grilled some great shrimp, salmon and squash. We had a wonderful time talking about everything. We hadn't seen them in more than a year because it seems like whenever we are in that area they are traveling. We met Dan in college and Darling Bobbie came along soon after. Great friends. (Wake up Dan.)

Dan teaches computers at the School For The Deaf in Austin...he builds computers. He seems to have every up to the minute techno-doo-hickey. This is his Drone helicopter. The remote is his phone. There is a camera in the helicopter that films a bird's eye view of the flight. It's way cool!

We had lunch at Palmer's on Saturday. I worked there from 1980 to 1984 and they STILL have a couple of the same items on the menu! Left to right: Patty, Mark, Mike, Janet and Gene. Patty is a really waitress pal from the 80's and we have done alot together. She visited us in Pecos & has been to Del Rio and we went to New York together twice. We also worked at Farmer's Insurance together. Mike & Janet are friends from college days that we recently reconnected with. (Wake up Mike).

Becky Tomblin. Her daughter Amber went to school w/ Jamey from kindergarten to high school graduation...so more old friends.  The reason we went to San Marcos was to go to Cheatham Street Warehouse to see the very last show of The Lucky Tomblin Band. They were retiring after almost 12 years of music.

The band. Read more at www.luckytomblinband.com/ These musicians have collectively played with a bunch of famous folks. You'd be impressed.

Lucky singin' The Honky Tonk Song...my favorite. It's the song that plays on his website...check it out!!

Dear Mary,

Thanks for another wide-ranging blog, techno helicopters, music, food, hair appointment. I almost got vertigo reading. LOL, thanks for the pics, too.

Love,
Dave
