DIEZ Y SEIS-BROWN PLAZA, DEL RIO.

Later in the evening the wind began to blow like crazy. Check out all the dirt particles in my photo. Most of the food vendors left at that point.
I've never seen a mariachi band with a harpist! They came down into the crowd and played to the Queens.
Brown Plaza was dedicated on Cinco De Mayo 1908 and has served as a gathering spot for musical concerts, political rallies and formal promenades. It was restored in 1969. George Washington Brown (1836-1908) was the donor of the plaza. It gets flooded sometimes. It's a lovely place and we enjoyed it very much. Gene sees his students everywhere we go.
